Kristina is a full-time artist based in the Glebe in Ottawa, Ontario, where she continues drawing inspiration from neighbourhood canals, parks and local gardens. As a painter working primarily in oils, Kristina’s landscape and floral paintings are rooted in a sense of simplicity, peace and nostalgia that stems from her rural upbringing in the country.
I often travel and tour around our scenic roads and take in the forest landscapes, local gardens and heritage sites and they are the roots of my inspiration and artistic life. My paintings are the result of feeling right at home, and at peace in the simple beauty of nature. My expressive brush strokes, and vibrant colour palette are a few of the details that bring life and light to my paintings. My landscape and floral paintings are uplifting to paint and I strive to translate that joy and wonder in all my work.
