DALE TAYLOR
Painting with acrylics, Dale captures the magical light and colours of water in all its beauty and mystique. She takes the viewer on an intimate experience, from the most serene reflections on water’s surface to the surge and spray of a powerful wave.
Dale Taylor has been a professional visual artist for her entire adult life, showing her paintings and stained glass pieces in both group and solo exhibits. She is the former Arts Consultant for the OCDSB. She has a degree in Visual Arts, and has been an Art & Drama teacher for many years. Since retiring in 2010, she taught Arts courses at the Education Faculty, U of Ottawa, and has taught many drawing, painting, and multi-media classes and workshops, both at her Val-des-Monts lake house, and in Ottawa at the GCTC. She now devotes much of her time to painting.
She and her writer husband Rick Taylor have spent the past ten winters in Australia, Hawaii, Tahiti and the Caribbean, surfing, snorkelling, sailing, and open-water swimming, where she continues to be inspired by the “Liquid Light”.
